Snipsly.com - Make Money From Your Bookmarks!
73Those of you who publish on this site may have seen my recent forum thread regarding a new site called 'Snipsly'. If you haven't, then read on. Snipsly is the latest in a new generation of bookmarking sites which offer to split it's Adsense advertising revenue with the sites users, in this case an extremely generous 80% of all impressions, as well as allowing you to submit links to your own content. For publishers and developers the most important characteristic of the site is that all submitted links are 'dofollow' meaning that Google and other search engines will take them into consideration when making their regular page rank changes. If you want your content on the first page of google, for important keyword phrases, then you are going to need to build up these dofollow backlinks - it is that simple.

See results without votingThe greatest thing about Snipsly is its excellent Wordpress interface, making bookmarking an easy and efficient process for the majority of Internet users; an additional mention should probably be afforded to the great first impression that I have of the sites owner Austin Hardwick - who seems both energetic and passionate about the project and who is himself an online publisher. He has promised to remember that 'Hubbers' are the best bunch on the net, and will look after us all accordingly! Personally I think that it's great to have a fellow writer running one of these sites, particularly considering some recent difficulties experienced by many people with Xomba, and I both hope yet expect that Snipsly will build itself a great web presence over the first quarter of 2010 and beyond. One thing worth noting is that Snipsly has no referral scheme, although this has been explained by Mr Hardwick who said "There is no referral program because there simply isn't room for it". Of course, the 80% of impressions more than makes up for this for the user, particularly when compared to the 50% offered by Xomba, but a referral scheme can be the making of the site - hopefully word of mouth will be effective enough to drive the participation. Well, I have done my bit, go and do yours!
The other sites currently offering bookmarking under an Adsense revenue sharing model include SheToldMe and Xomba, and I would recommend that Bloggers and content developers use all three of these sites for each page of their online content - I am currently in the process of doing so and have seen some fantastic results in the short term. It is however the long term results which really matter, particularly when considering that Snipsly is still a Page Rank 0 website. It will be just a few months before Snipsly is likely to realise a PR3 or PR4 status just like SheToldMe, making your early efforts well worthwhile.

Ok, can anyone tell me how to bookmark on snipsly, it looks like an article site.
Thanks.
Great tips
thanks for the information!
This is interesting. Thanks for sharing this, I would definitely look into it.
This is an excellent hub. I haven't used Snipsly but am using the others with good results. Thanks for the information.
Thanks. Will check it out!
Great Hub, as I was looking for some answers about Snipsly before signing up and posting for backlinks.
The fact that it is still in its infancy is actually a draw for me. I think it may be all the way up to a PR3 now though, which would be impressive.
Well, I'm off to sign up for Snipsly, to go with my SheToldMe and Xomba accounts
I don't understand... this doesn't look like a bookmark site, but a content site, just like hubpages. What am I missing?
I will have to check this out seems like another good way of generating backlinks.
Wow wonderful site, thanks for sharing, I will try this. I try shetoldme.com but this have a long queue.
I just finish how to earn with answers, may be you will interest:
Not sure if my comment went through as I got an error message, but thanks for info. I shall 'go forth and multiply'
I found snipsly.com a promising website. Thanks for the information.
I've had "check out snipsly" on my to-do list since you published this hub. I finished blurbing all my hubs on Xomba today and moved on to snipsly.
I just finished a few minutes ago entering about 20 (100 to go still) of my hubs so far and already AdSense is showing about forty cents in earnings today from snipsly! Thank you for turning me on to this great site, Ryan. I love the wordpress interface and it's so easy and quick to enter posts there! I hope it proves to be very profitable, too!
Thanks for sharing Ryan :) I will most definitely check it out.Heads up!
Sounds great. I will be looking into it. I rated this hub UP and gave it a 'stumble' at: http://www.stumbleupon.com/su/6mx03I/hubpages.com/ Go there to rate it up or give it a 'stumble.' To your success...Good luck and God bless. Wag.
I saw your forum thread and went right to snipsly. It's a great sight and I want to thank you for letting us hubbers know about it.
http://code.google.com/apis/adsense/gettingstarted It's been boggling my mind for several months now. I want to convert my 411article site to a revenue sharing site when it's eligible. Right now it's getting around 1000 daily page views. Maybe in a year or so.
If you go to that link and follow the link "what does the page view mean to me?" you will see a reference to the sandbox. This may mean that you can share the revenue but members cannot sign up for adsense through your site, they must already have an adsense account.
I'll have to keep digging, because I see revenue sharing as the best deal in town for all parties.
Thank you very much all that good advice. I hate to say it but could you explain 'Bookmarking' do mean links? Do you post whole article, like Hubpages, on it?
Thanks for posting the link to snipsly Ryan, I joined shortly after you mentioned it in the forums. The only thing I'm confused about is, how do they allow revenue sharing through adsense? From what I have read, a site has to have daily traffic of 100,000 visitors before they can use the Revenue Sharing API from Google. Unless I am missing something, and I hope I am because I wouldn't mind starting a site like that myself, they're nowhere near the minimum level of traffic to use the API.
A backlink is a backlink to me so it's all good.

Came back here to confirm what I remembered I had heard in the forums on Hubpages about Snipsly. I just signed up because I am doing more backlinking articles this year. Don't really want to bookmark as much as writing short original content articles for my posts and hubs.
